Connecting the Dots…

Curious how a career educator became a career coach? It is all a matter of connecting the dots. As an educator, I get to teach, design curriculum, collaborate with colleagues, and more. Through this work, I discovered a new passion: helping people find their fit. My aha moment happened when mentoring high school seniors as they brainstormed capstone projects. I so was energized when working alongside these students while they designed purpose-driven projects that aligned with their talents and interests. I began seeking out opportunities to build off of these experiences. Coaching aspiring teachers was the next step of this journey, and what an amazing experience it was. Having a front row seat observing, guiding, and evaluating young educators was truly inspiring and set me on the path to start my own business. I launched The Right Fit – Career Services, became a Certified Professional Resume Writer, and joined the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches. Supporting job seekers with resume writing, cover letters and career coaching is immensely rewarding, and I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me next.
